YOU MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE A FURNITURE DEALERSHIP We are working with one of London’s leading commercial furniture dealers to find an experienced Sales Support professional to join its operations team. This is a rare opportunity at this salary level and would suit someone who already understands the commercial furniture or FF&E industry and can confidently support projects from quotation through to order placement and delivery. The position sits at the centre of the business, working closely with the sales, operations and project management teams. Your role will be to remove administration from the sales team, protect project margins and ensure that quotes, orders and supporting documentation are produced accurately and on time. This is not a traditional administrative position. It is a commercially important role for someone who understands furniture products, supplier price lists and the pace of a busy dealer environment

The Role

You will support the sales team across quoting, ordering, order checking and project administration, helping them focus on winning work and developing client relationships.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and quality-checking furniture quotations
  • Requesting and reviewing supplier quotations
  • Working confidently across multiple supplier price lists
  • Raising purchase orders and placing orders with approved suppliers
  • Checking order acknowledgements and identifying discrepancies
  • Preparing project front sheets, handover information and supporting documentation
  • Helping protect project margins through accurate checking and clear communication
  • Updating the CRM, internal systems and project information
  • Supporting the project management team with occasional site visits and snagging
  • Preparing O&M information, sustainability reports and carbon documentation
  • Supporting PQQ submissions and other business documentation
  • Coordinating supplier presentations, Lunch & Learns and team events
  • Re-prioritising tasks when urgent quotations or orders arise

The role requires someone comfortable spinning multiple plates. Priorities can change quickly, particularly within a busy design-and-build environment, so you will need to remain calm, organised and responsive.

About You

You will already have experience working within the commercial furniture, workplace interiors or FF&E industry, ideally for a furniture dealer or manufacturer.

You should be able to hit the ground running and will ideally have experience in several of the following areas:

  • Producing furniture quotations
  • Reading and interpreting supplier price lists
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Placing furniture orders
  • Checking order acknowledgements
  • Identifying pricing, specification or quantity discrepancies
  • Supporting projects from quotation through to delivery
  • Working with CRM, ordering or job-costing systems

You will also be:

  • Numerically confident and highly accurate
  • Meticulous when checking quotes, orders and documentation
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing deadlines
  • Confident communicating with suppliers, clients and internal teams
  • Proactive, dependable and willing to take ownership
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of margins and project costs
  • A genuine team player with a practical, roll-your-sleeves-up attitude
  • Interested in sustainability and responsible procurement

Advanced Microsoft 365 skills are required. Experience using CRM systems or furniture-ordering software would be advantageous, while Adobe InDesign experience is useful but not essential.
