Role: Senior Business Development Manager

Craftsmanship, specialist production expertise, bespoke manufacturing and contemporary design

OVERVIEW

Location: PARIS €70-100k

Develop the Paris market for an internationally established, design-led manufacturer, one of Europe's most respected rug brands, working across the luxury interiors sector.

Collate Form is recruiting for a Sales & Business Development Manager to develop the Paris market for an internationally established, design-led manufacturer, one of Europe’s most respected rug brands, working across the luxury interiors sector.

The business combines craftsmanship, specialist production expertise, bespoke manufacturing and contemporary design, creating highly individual pieces for exceptional residential, hospitality and commercial environments around the world. Its work sits naturally within architecture and interior design: specification-led, highly customisable, and often developed specifically around an individual designer’s vision.

Paris is an important growth market, and we are looking for someone who can build the relationships and commercial partnerships needed to develop it properly.

À propos du poste – “regarding the position”

Based in Paris, you will become the business’s principal commercial representative in the region. Your focus will be on building meaningful relationships across the architecture, interior design, hospitality, development, and distribution communities, identifying projects, and turning those introductions into sustainable, long-term business.

Responsabilités

You will: Identify and develop new opportunities throughout Paris and the wider French market.
Build relationships with architects, interior designers, design studios, developers, hospitality groups and strategic partners.
Introduce the company’s collection, bespoke capabilities and manufacturing expertise to new clients.
Use your existing network to create qualified project opportunities.
Develop a structured programme of meetings, presentations, visits and events.
Manage the complete business development process from prospecting through specification, proposal, negotiation and successful project conversion.
Work closely with retail partners and the wider international commercial team.
Collaborate with manufacturing and internal teams to develop bespoke proposals around individual project requirements.
Represent the business at exhibitions, industry events and client meetings.
Monitor the market and identify emerging studios, projects and commercial opportunities.

Qualifications

You will ideally have at least five years’ experience in business development, specification sales or an international commercial role, preferably within luxury furniture, interiors, textiles, decoration, materials or another premium design-led sector.

Compétences requises – “required skills”

You should bring: A strong existing network within the Paris architecture and interior design community.
Experience developing new clients rather than simply managing existing accounts.
An understanding of both Contract and Distribution channels.
Exposure to residential, hospitality and luxury real-estate projects.
The confidence to engage senior architects, designers and commercial decision-makers.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Experience managing complex, high-value project opportunities.
A structured and self-motivated approach to business development.
Fluency in French and English.
The ability to travel within France and internationally when required.

Compétences préférées

The Person You are first and foremost a relationship builder.
You understand that selling within the luxury design market is rarely about an immediate transaction. It is about becoming trusted by designers, understanding what they are trying to achieve and being present when the right project appears.
You are curious about design and manufacturing and confident discussing materials, bespoke possibilities and project requirements.
At the same time, you are commercially driven. You enjoy creating opportunities, opening new accounts and taking responsibility for converting relationships into meaningful long-term revenue.

Fourchette de rémunération et package de compensation

Why Join? This is an opportunity to build a significant market rather than simply maintain an existing territory.
You will have: Considerable autonomy across the Paris market.
The support and capabilities of an established international manufacturer.
Extensive product and manufacturing training.
A highly customisable product suited to luxury residential, hospitality and commercial interiors.
The opportunity to work alongside leading architects and interior designers.
Direct influence over the territory’s long-term development.
A competitive package comprising salary, performance-related incentives and benefits.
Paris-based, with travel throughout France and occasional international travel.

Applications and enquiries are handled confidentially by Collate Form.
