Role: Consultant – Resi & BTR
An opportunity to join a growing furniture and interiors business delivering residential and commercial projects across the UK.
OVERVIEW
Our client works with property developers, designers and operators to provide furniture solutions for residential developments
Top client for Build to Rent (BTR) schemes and shared amenity spaces. Their work combines product knowledge, design understanding and the practical delivery of furniture projects of varying sizes.
You would be responsible for specification, quotation and delivery of furniture packages for residential developments and commercial interiors.
Projects range from individual apartments and show homes to larger residential schemes, reception areas and communal spaces.
The role is based in London, with travel to Manchester approximately once or twice a month for client meetings, site visits and collaboration with the wider team.
Responsibilities
Preparing furniture proposals, quotations, specifications and presentations in response to client requirements.
Assisting with furniture selection, including materials, finishes and product alternatives.
Supporting client relationships and responding to enquiries throughout the project process.
Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers regarding pricing, availability, samples and product information.
Working with internal teams to coordinate orders, deliveries and installations.
Maintaining accurate project documentation, schedules and commercial records.
Developing an understanding of project budgets, pricing and margins.
Attending client meetings, site visits and project reviews.
Identifying opportunities within existing accounts and supporting new business activity.
Contributing to individual and wider team sales objectives.
Experience & Skills
We are looking for someone at a junior to mid-level stage of their career with some experience in the furniture industry and an interest in developing within a client-facing, project-led environment.ooking for a Furniture Consultant to join their London team, supporting existing client relationships, developing furniture proposals and helping to deliver projects from initial enquiry through to installation.
The position would suit someone with experience in the furniture industry who is looking to develop their commercial knowledge, take on greater project responsibility and build a career within the contract furniture sector.
The Role
Working alongside the wider sales and project teams
Experience gained within a furniture dealer, manufacturer, showroom, interiors business or FF&E consultancy would be relevant. Previous exposure to residential developments or the BTR sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
A good understanding of furniture products, materials and the wider interiors market.
Some experience in sales, account management, furniture specification or project coordination.
Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients and suppliers.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to quotations, administration and project documentation.
Commercial awareness and an interest in developing an understanding of pricing and project profitability.
A proactive, dependable approach and a willingness to take responsibility.
The ability to work collaboratively while managing their own workload effectively.
A genuine interest in furniture, design and the built environment.
Familiarity with contract furniture suppliers and manufacturers would be beneficial, although further training and development will be provided.
